Christmas 2010

This Christmas was wonderful. It was so fun watching Ayden and Addison open their gifts. Ayden's favorite word this year was WOW!! Addison's favorite word was Oh, wee!! It was so nice spending time with friends and family this year. To top it all off, we had a White Christmas! What more can I say?

Sugarland

Ayden is a huge Sugarland fan and has been since he was about 2. He first started to be obsessed with them when All I Want To Do came out. I have video of him in his highchair singing and copying Jennifer Nettles. Every time he hears her sing on the radio he screams SUGARLAND! The mania has started once again with the new song Stuck Like Glue. He watches the video and sings along while copying every move Jennifer Nettles makes. Sugarland mania is upon us so much that I have the ring tone and every time my phone rings Ayden begs me not to answer (so he can hear the song). This craze has even rubbed off on Daniel, so much so that he thought I should get my hair cut like hers (which I did). The moment I walked in the house Ayden screamed, "Mommie, your hair is like Sugarland's". Ayden asks me every day now if my hair will look like Sugarland's that day. He is so disappointed when I get out of the shower and it is wet and doesn't resemble his favorite singer.

Meatball!

Funny story.......Now that Addison has her cast off, she and Ayden can take a bath together again. The other night Daniel was bathing them while I was working on school work. Daniel starts screaming for me to come into the bathroom. I rush in to find that Addison had pooped in the bathtub (just a little pebble). While the kids are standing up and we are cleaning the tub Ayden, out of the blue, says "Daddy, I thought it was a meatball"! HAHAHAHAHA

Georgia Football

Simple post......Can you tell we are Georgia fans? GO DAWGS!

T-Ball

Ayden played T-ball for the first time this season. He was on a 3/4 year-old team and he had a blast! He loved hitting the ball and running the bases. It was so fun to watch all the little ones running for the ball at the same time. Great memories were created this season.

Addison's broken arm

The day before Ayden turned 4, Addison fell out of a chair and broke her arm. She broke both her right radius and ulna. She is a trooper. She did awesome with everything. Now we are just waiting on her to either crawl or walk with her cast. Right now all she can do is scoot around. We are told healing should be fast, lets hope so!

Ayden's 4th Birthday

Ayden celebrated his 4th birthday with lots of friends and family at Chick-Fil-A. His theme was Diego. The Chick-Fil-A crew was great! Ayden had so much fun that he told Daniel that it was the best birthday he ever had!! Ayden had so many gifts it could have been Christmas. Thanks to everyone who joined us. A special thanks to Julie and Amber for helping keep me organzied. The awesome pictures are thanks to Amber and her super cool camera.

Tybee Island

We went on vacation this year to Tybee Island and we had a blast. It was a big family event. Both sets of grandparents joined us and on Sunday some of our dear friends came down to hang out on the beach. Ayden wasn't quite sure what to think of the ocean but he loved the sand. It took him several days to get used to the ocean but finally the day before we left he played in the water all day. We really like the atmosphere at Tybee. It is very laid back. We look forward to more vacations there.

Ayden's Tattoo

Recently Daniel got a new tattoo and Ayden was very interested in it. Ayden informed Daniel that he was going to get a tattoo. Playing along, Daniel asked him what he was going to get. Ayden replied, "I'm gonna get a man tattoo." Daniel responds, "Oh, your gonna get a big boy tattoo?" Ayden said, "No, a man tattoo." It took a few seconds to realize Ayden was talking about his buddy the Snowman which he always calls Man.

Lazy Donkey

Tonight we went to the Lazy Donkey in Carrollton. A good time was had by all. They had the band coming around singing to all the tables. I must say they were pretty decent. They sang Sweet Home Alabama and Devil Went Down to Georgia. The food was excellent and so were the margaritas. Daddy and Ayden even got on the Donkey! Thanks for dinner Travis!

Father's Day

Father's Day was fun although we missed Daniel, he had to work on Father's Day. We went to Nanny and Paw Paw's. Ayden had an awesome time playing with all his cousins, Addison slept most the afternoon, and I stuffed my face with banana pudding!

Ayden Sayings

I know I am always saying how funny Ayden is but last night he had us all cracking up at dinner. We went to eat mexican and Ayden was doing his "fake cry". Paw Paw (my dad) said to him, "Boy, you better stop that before I give you something to cry about." Ayden replied, "Paw Paw, you aren't gonna give me nothing to cry about 'cause I'm gonna give you a knuckle sandwich!"

Other funny things Ayden has said over the last couple of months:

He was in trouble and I was taking him by the hand to his room and he said to me "You don't have to hold my hand, it's not a parking lot!"

He got in trouble for throwing rocks and hitting a man. When we told him to apologize he said "I can't talk to strangers."

We were riding in the car and he poured water on his pants. He then started to complain about the water on his pants. When I told him that he would just have to wear it that way because he was the one who poured the water on himself he replied "You're the one who gave it to me."

I seriously don't know where he comes up with this stuff! It is so hard not to laugh at him when he is in trouble.

Addison's First Birthday

Today is Addison's first birthday. I am a little sad thinking about the baby days and how they have passed. I have enjoyed every minute of this last year. I love seeing my baby girl grow and discover. It is so wonderful seeing the world through her eyes. There is such an innocence that is pure.

Thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating her birthday. We really appreciate all our friends and family who came to see her dig into her cake and boy did she ever! She loved hearing the Happy Birthday song. We love all her gifts and we thank everyone for everything. We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays to come.

Happy Birthday baby girl!

Memorial Day 2010

Memorial Day was a blast. We went to Senoia to celebrate all service men and women. I must say I love the town of Senoia. They had a parade, festivities, and fireworks. We had a wonderful time hanging out with Brittany, Dave, Carol, and the girls. Ayden and Avery had the best time playing with each other.

Lewis Library

Today is the first day of the Lewis Library. I love the idea of being able to share things that happen in the Lewis House with our family and friends.

Addison had her first "big girl" food today. She ate cheese and bologna and loved it! We are preparing for her first birthday. Wow, I cannot believe it is time for that already.

Ayden is just amazing. He loves playing PBS games on the computer. I just can't get over the fact that a 3-year-old can operate a computer!
